Eric attended the Desert Sun School from 1976 to 1977. He recently sent in this update: I have many great memories of Desert Sun. In my sophomore year I was at a strict military academy and we heard rumors of a golden hippy free school in the mountains. At that point me and a couple other cadets vowed that we would go to that school next year. Well I was the only one who made it. The contrast was stark and very sweet in many ways.
