David Jerome, '80 2053 Pacific #2 Alameda CA 94501 (510) 522-2738 Email: davidcjerome@yahoo.com David graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in music and went on to study classical guitar, receiving his masters in guitar performance at Cal State Hayward. David has been traveling to Brazil to do research. He also plays publicly on a regular basis including formal concerts. David keeps in touch with Gabe Moffat, '80 (who has three kids and works as recording engineer). David recently sent in this update: "I spent 2003 in Brazil under a Fulbright, doing biographical research on Dilermando Reis. Dilermando was perhaps the most famous Brazilian guitarist during his life, but is little known in the exterior, and largely forgotten there. I ended up giving lectures and workshops and playing at festivals. An article will appear before the end of the year in Soundboard (a classical guitar magazine) and I will have an album of music to publish along with a brief bio. A book will take longer."
